Posted by Photini In America, we admire rationality, freedom of speech, and yet as Orthodox the situation is unchangeably bizarre: intelligent hierarchs are oppressive in maintaining the status quo, disdaining and minimizing the dreams of the faithful to change the chaos and hypocrisy in America, to sacrifice power for unity -- helpless, they say, and deferential, they say, and in obedience to Christ? Hmmm. Yet, there is a Bulgarian jurisdiction in Constantinople; an OCA in Russia and in Africa and Australia... absurdity continues. And so many pet parallel jurisdictions in America. The OCA is inclusive of ethnic dioceses, others may justify their existence only by one ethnicity or calendar or typikon -- these priorities above unity, however, is justified by canon and scriptures how?
