Posted by rjklancko Bishop Izaslav of the Byelorussians in America this list does not include the retired bishops also so what do we have? the seeds for a dying church --- why is our competition do better than us -- they are Christian Americans and this is what they embody ---- we are Greek Orthodox, Russian Orthodox, Serbian Orthodox ---- why we do not even acknowledge that we are Christian yet alone being American ---- for this I must blame ourselves --- "we have found the enemy and it is us" ---- as for myself I am in favor of a Christian American Orthodox church ---- we must not forget that we are Christians, we are Americans, and then we are Orthodox ---- for how can we be Orthodox if we are not Christian first --- the Ortho did not come to save us but the Christ did, the gosepls do not speak of Ortho but they do speak of Christ. so instead of saying this is they way the Orthodox do it, we should be saying this is the way that Christians do it --- we are acting like sects designed to attract the lunatic fringe than a true church carrying out the teachings of Jesus --- amen.
