"We have concluded that when the principle of racial division (i.e. phyletism) is juxtaposed with the teaching of the Gospel and the constant practice of the Church, it is not only foreign to it, but also completely opposed, to it. We decree the following in the Holy Spirit: 1. We reject and condemn racial division, that is, racial differences, national quarrels and disagreements in the Church of Christ, as being contrary to the teaching of the Gospel and the holy canons of our blessed fathers, on which the holy Church is established and which adorn human society and lead it to Divine piety. 2. In accordance with the holy canons, we proclaim that those who accept such division according to races and who dare to base on it hitherto unheard-of racial assemblies are foreign to the One, Holy, Catholic and Apostolic Church and are real schismatics."     Dear to Christ, Friends of the Poor:


    Christ is Born! Glorify Him!


    The people of the Orthodox have shown themselves to be generous beyond my expectations. December 13 I will bring a van load of gift to an air freight company in Chicago. The projected cost for this shipment is two thousand ($2000). We will rent a station wagon to distribute the gifts to all the orphan houses in Romania. The car rental for the eighteen days we are in Romania will be about one thousand, five hundred dollars. ($1500)


    There is still time to help the Saint Philothea Project. You can write a check or send cash to help defray these expenses and make money available to buy diapers and Christmas dinners for poor elderly people and families of the after school program children in Aiud near Alba Iulia.
