Ta Criost aiseirithe! Aiseirithe go fior!
Can someone more knowledgeable than myself inform us of the Canonical significance of a ruling hierarch instructing his clergy not to serve with the clergy of one or more other ruling hierarchs? I haven't read all the Canons yet, nor enough Church History. It doesn't seem a full break in Communion, nor an accusation of heresy, nor an accusation of schism, nor "walling-off." What else is there, Canonically? Is this in fact a matter that needs to be addressed by Synods, even multi-jurisdictional Councils? Might we thank Metr. Methodios someday ... in letters addressed to him in Crimea(!)?
Thank you very much,
Leo
