The Holy Epiphany Russian Orthodox Church, located in the Roslindale neighborhood of Boston, Massachusetts, is holding a free symposium on Saturday, May 9, 2009, on questions concerning science and faith.
Three papers will be presented at the symposium: "An Overview of the Problems of Science and Faith from a Pastoral Perspective;" "An Astronomer's Reading of the Bible and Creation Narration;" and "Looking for a Balance Between Faith and Science." Papers will be in Russian with English translations.
The symposium will begin at 10:00 a.m., and will be followed by an hour-long lunch break. There will be a discussion of the papers presented after lunch.
