It would seem to me that based on the recent happenings in the Antiochian Archdiocese, the time is ripe for the OCA to make such an overture. They have the young dynamic leader, the Antiochians need just such a person at this time. Not to diminish the qualities of any of the Antiochian Bishops - they all have my deep respect but there is a great opportunity here. They already cooperate at so many levels and both have a majority of parishes that are truly American - not ethocentric. The question is who will be man enough to make it happen for the good of the Church in America. This is what we must keep in mind - not what is good for an old world Patriarchate - but what is good for the furtherance of the Church in America. Unfortunately, I greatly fear that no one will have the courage to take the leap of faith to make it happen. Where are our ancestors of the 1924 Sobor who made it happen for the Metropolia, who has the courage of Met. Platon or Met. Theophilus -- who has the vision of Met. Antony???? Brothers in Christ, by doing nothing we continue to place our talents under a rock and hide them -- God is opening a door for us - if we trust in Him, should we not seize the opportunity? May God Bless us All! Amen!
