See Patriarchate decision here: http://www.newgracanica.net/english/news_folder/june2009/arondacijaEn.html
Sources of scant background:

ISTR that the New Gracanica* Metropolitanate, formerly the Free Serbian Orthodox Church (1963-92), was an anti-Communist separation in the Serbian diaspora, akin to ROCOR, and the OCA's Albanian, Romanian, and Bulgarian dioceses. In '92 they and the Patriarchate reunited, but maintained parallel/overlapping jurisdictions. The implementation of this arrangement seems to integrate them in the U.S. and Canada, but not yet in Australia (though there they share a Bishop, Clevelander IRINEJ!). It includes the effective primate here, Metropolitan CHRISTOPHER, getting a rump-Primatial See consisting of the SOC plant in Libertyville and 3 Chicago parishes -- not unlike the OCA's Diocese of Washington DC (again).
