Orthodoxy will not survive in America, unless Orthodox Christians reach out across ethnic and social lines, according to Metropolitan Jonah, Primate of the Orthodox Church in America (OCA).
Metropolitan Jonah made this critical statement on American Orthodoxy recently while on a visit in Detroit.
He said he hopes to bring unity among Orthodox factions in the U.S., and one day bring them under the leadership of an American Orthodox Patriarch.
The OCA Primate added, "The community must transcend ethnic boundaries to flourish. Otherwise, it will die out."
Metropolitan Jonah concluded his statement by saying, "What people are looking for is a spiritual path, a way that leads them into the depths of communion with God."
