And that is the problem - are we to live our Orthodox faith or are we to live our Christian Faith in our Orthodox Tradition. We cannot put Orthodoxy first and foremost for if we do we always forget the Christian noun that the adjective Orthodox describes. That has been our problem all along are mindset is with adjectives and not nouns - it is the noun that must be first and foremost in our heats and minds for if we are not Christians first how can we be anything else.
Also if hierarchs, clergy, and laity donot want us to speak badly about their obtuse actions then they bear the responsibility to act according to the tenents of their position and faith. If you wish to be a clown - expect laughter, if you wish to be a dictator - expect rebellion, if you wish to be a nay sayer - expect scorn.
Our children need to be brought up as critical thinkers. If anyone in a position of authority acts improperly the youth should not be insulated from it but told about it, why it is abhorrant, and what the standard should be - otherwise you raise sheep.
