"We have concluded that when the principle of phyletism (i.e. ecclesiastical nationalism) is juxtaposed with the teaching of the Gospel and the constant practice of the Church, it is not only foreign to it, but also completely opposed, to it. We decree the following in the Holy Spirit: 1. We reject and condemn racial division, that is, racial differences, national quarrels and disagreements in the Church of Christ, as being contrary to the teaching of the Gospel and the holy canons of our blessed fathers, on which the holy Church is established and which adorn human society and lead it to Divine piety. 2. In accordance with the holy canons, we proclaim that those who accept such division according to races and who dare to base on it hitherto unheard-of racial assemblies are foreign to the One, Holy, Catholic and Apostolic Church and are real schismatics." My message was directed to George and your points are off topic.

    1. Since I addressed specifically George: to say one is Orthodox......... that we are Christian is understood. I apologize for truncating the statement, but it in no way truncates my understanding of my faith or my children's understanding either.

    2. Clearly if the majority of the message had to do with young people in OCF. One should know that MEANS Orthodox CHRISTIAN Fellowship. We KNOW we are Christians, So your point is moot.

    3. If you had paid attention to the full of my text the lives spelled by the peers of my children are clearly examples of Christ in action.

    4. I agree, our children should be raised as critical thinkers. The scenario I offered certainly was. What I thought would be a beneficial evening, my daughter heard something quite to the contrary. Rather than hearing how to witness Orthodoxy Christianity on the college Campus she heard nothing but 20 years of baggage and a lot of bishop bashing, including bashing Metro Nikitas whom our family has know well for 25 years.

There is a difference between discerment and exposing improper acts as opposed to being angered at not willing to accept decsions that don't meet one's agenda.

No I certainly have not raised sheep.

I would agree with you on one remark, what my daughter heard were indeed nay-sayers and it was met with a great deal of scorn.

But I tell you, this will not stop the current youth movement. And quite frankly they don't have time to listen to our generation whining. They have already passed us up in defining the future of Orthodoxy.
