Al, yeah, I think you misunderstood. The reason I mentioned nothing about priestesses is because it's not even on the table as far as Benedict and the Anglo-Catholics are concerned.
As for the Uniates in America, I am aware that one of their jurisdictions does not use the Filioque in the Creed (good!) but I don't know if that's the case for all of them. If memory serves, there are 22 Eastern Rite churches throughout the world. Any info as to this practice would be most appreciated.
As far as our task being more difficult with the Anglo-Catholics, your question re the Uniates more or less proves my point (I think). The leap for Eastern Rite Catholics to Orthodoxy is but a small step since they don't subscribe to the Filioque anyway. For the Western Rite, it's not only the Filioque but the Eastern Rite which is far more alien to there experience.
At least that's my opinion.
