Yeah..that "honorary" metropolitan comment caught my attention too, but then I'm the guy who got yelled at by GOA supporters by saying that there are no Episcopal elections of any kind for the GOA in this country.
I heard a bishop in the OCA one time make a comment that I didn't understand at the time...he said, "the only ruling bishops in the USA are the OCA bishops."
5 years later, I understand EXACTLY what he meant...and he was right.
Abp Demetrios is apparently your shepherd, but only on occasion.
Let's see now, if Abp Demetrios is not your ruling bishop, and your local metropolitan is only honorary, that probably means Abp Spyridon is still your ruling bishop. Or, from the sounds of the article, perhaps Fr. Alex Karloutsos...
....and whoever it is right now, if Ted is right, Bp Savas is about to be.
