I just got this email and it is an interesting concept. Far better I feel than the PetLand contract. It will be interesting to see how many signature they get. The American Kennel Club is contracting with PetLand stores to register more puppies and educate on pet ownership. What happened to promoting rescues over pet stores?

I was checking another AKC petition and saw this. Better idea!
So far all we with mutts have is the UKC and their competitions are few and far between in this region. Allowing spayed and neutered crossbreds from rescues to register would get revenue and give us a chance to show off what great dogs mutts can be.
If you note in the body of the petition they are stating from rescues and this would be easy to prove as all a person would have to do is provide a copy of the adoption form and the tax exempt # for the rescue of the dog was adopted.
Many may not agree with this idea but sure better than allying with those who are breeding solely for the profit without care of anything else.
This is a brand new petition and needs support!
