Did dan Garrett have the scarab on him at all times? My only exposure to the character has been flashbacks. Why I ask is that if there was a link between Dan and the Reach created tech, maybe Dani has inherited whatever X-factor gave grandpa the link. If proximity isn't needed, maybe Dani could utter the magic words and gain the powers her grandfather had as well as his costume. The world could always use another Blue Beetle or she could be Jaime's sidekick...
