The current Booster Gold series is one of the worst I have ever read in my life and I've been reading comics since 1972 or thereabouts. The story manages to be too convoluted and simple minded at the same time and the art makes me long for Jerry Ordway to take over and I don't even like Ordway! One of the things that annoying me the most is the odd shape Skeets has had since the revival. And wasn't BG's sister revived? I only started picking up this steaming pile of crap since Blue Beetle was added but I just may have read my last installment. I bought that horrid Spectre mini for the Doctor 13 back up without reading the Spectre story and I can start doing the same here. Blue Beetle is worth four bucks to me even if it is only ten pages. Sturgess wrote a fairly weak conclusion but this is his first arc so I won't judge him too harshly, especially as we saw a character work out her commitment issues while facing imminent death! This little feature that could was so much better than Jaime's appearance in Brave and the Bold with Hardware, which was pretty much an epic fail even if it didn't sink to Booster Gold's level in its badness...
