: I've officially read my last Booster Gold
: story by Jurgens. I've pinpointed a little
: bit of my problem though. It seems to me
: that Jurgens is writing Booster exactly like
: he did in the original series and it's a bad
: fit for me with Booster's new mission
: statement.
:
: Blue Beetle was awesome however. I
: especially liked the bit of having a time
: traveler being unwilling to impede Milagro's
: destiny. Now, he's a villain so she might
: wind up a big ass super villain but it'll be
: exciting to find out! Even if I do stick to
: my guns and not read the lead story in
: future issues, ten pages of Blue Beetle for
: $3.99 is worth it to me!

Ten pages of Blue Beetle for $3.99 is NOT worth it to me. Fortunately, was not as turned off by the main story. In fact, along with the art it was okay as far as cosmic-reset/time-travel/elseworlds-supporting-cast stories go. Didnt really collect the original Booster series faithfully so not sure how it contradicts his current fixit missions.
Black Beetle's strategy to get the Red Scarab was kind of neat but how did he know it existed there in the first place?
The backup WAS very good. "I pity the fool" who didnt think so.
Black Beetle's comments were very intriguing but where was his unstoppable Red Scarab powers? Who was Hector again and when was he last seen? Blue Beetle's changes were interesting too. Wonder what the difference in danger is between the Black Beetle and this new Dark Beetle...
