On the minus side Jaime is mostly window dressing here. Servicable newbie wallpaper presence but not much to see.
Though the cover was more brace and daring than his contribution this issue.
The rest of it seemed like a lackluster attempt to catch some of the exact same magic of the first JLI incarnation under the pretense that Max is intentionally trying to manipulate things this way.
Could be wrong, having no idea how the whole Black Beetle/Booster Gold story ended up but reading BB & BG (not really) interact here makes it seems like that chapter of Jaime's life didn't matter that much.
The hi-tech Scarab Armor seems like it could play second fiddle to Skeets which is a shame. The team did not even give him a chance to use his translator first off. An... interesting wing interpretation too. The BB armaments looked visually neat at least...

The ending, though stretching the memorywipe plotline, is still a bit intriguing following Brightest Day.
