Namor's Future

Does he have one? Aside from Defender appearances the only bright spot for Namor is the awesome statues that are out or soon to be out. I won't mention anything about Ultimate Namor until I see the final issue from the current UFF story arc. So far I hate Ultimate Namor but I'll wait an see.
All the X books, Spidey books, and FF books and Marvel just can't seem to find the time for one well done Sub-Mariner book. If they keyed on the true Sub-Mariner with his strong personality and extreme nobility it could work. It just seems that the writers want to make Namor nothing but a pompous a$$.
