I recently read the Marvel Masterwork "Atlas Era Heroes" and was thrilled to read some '50's Sub-Mariner stories I hadn't seen reprinted before. They're prime Everett art and were beautifully reproduced (line art and color). I regret Marvel's decision to reprint the early Golden Age appearances as part of the Masterworks series due to the expense and slowness (4 issues at a time) of the process. I'd prefer either an Essentials (B&W) volume or a color trade (like the two volume Captain America Golden Age trades with the Kirby-Simon issues), reprinting only the Namor stories. I'd like to have the later '40's to mid '50's issues of the Sub-Mariner title. This Everett art is probably my favorite overall look. Yes, the stories are often corny, and the "young Namor" stories are very light-hearted, but they have a certain charm (alright, goofy-ness) to them that I don't really see anymore.
