Question For Torch Or Anyone Else

Has Namor definitely confirmed that he is a mutant, such as the X-Men? We know he is a mutant hybrid from the crossing of Atlantean-human genes which I take that he is a hybrid with certain mutations such as the ankle wings, great strength, and other abilities not shared by either Atlanteans or humans. I like the fact that he is linked to the X-Men because it's a better fit than most teams Namor has joined including the Defenders. The most powerful outcast in comics was fated to join the most famous team of outcasts.
