I think they just mean that the movie will be about Namor pre-king of Atlantis. That doesn't mean it'll be about an elseworlds harlequin romance Namor.
: I just picked up the Movie Edition of Wizard
: magazine and what I read almost made me
: PUKE! The proposed movie that's coming out
: will be about young Namor. Apparently they
: are going to follow the death path of the
: last horrible Namor series. Wizard
: recommends Ian Somerhalder as Namor. They
: say he's got the look,they say he's kingly,
: mischevious and, well, slightly effeminate,
: in keeping with continuity. WHAT BULL$@*%!
: What continuity are they talking about? That
: horrible last series has been, thankfully
: dead for awhile. I guess we can expect to
: see little naked Namor again, Ugh!
: The Namor I've read in the 60's and 70's is
: not in any way effeminate. Check out TTA
: #100 and tell me the Sub-Mariner who stood
: toe to toe with the Incredible Hulk is an
: effeminate pretty boy!I'm afraid my Namor is
: lost forever. All I have left are the TTA
: issues, the first and second Sub-Mariner
: series. Anything after that? For me,
: NOTHING!!!
:
: Avenging Son
: ps It breaks my heart to see how dead this
: board has gotten.
