Prince Namor A Solitary Man

Maybe Neil Diamond had Namor in mind when he wrote his big hit Solitary Man. A question was posed on the Defenders board whether Namor fit better with the Defenders or the Invaders. Well I said neither! Namor's TTA adventures are arguably his best ever. IMHO they are, followed by his 60's-70's series. Namor truly found himself, and earned his right to rule Atlantis in the TTA issues. This is where we, as fans, discovered the one true Sub-Mariner. The many quests and battles that Namor faced alone made his Avenging Son legend. A ruler to his people and an outlaw to the surface world Namor is at his best ALONE. No Invaders, no Defenders and no Avengers.
