And to elaborate on Trails, they are runs mainly in the countryside, along public footpaths and field edges, following instructions written on a sheet of paper. The instructions are easy to read, and are not designed to get you lost (but that's part of the fun). Most trails start and finish at a Pub, and your £4-5 entry fee gets you a drink voucher, redeemable at the bar. Distances vary from 6 to about 12 miles, some trails have 2 routes: 6 or so miles, and 10+ miles. In the summer, there's a trail most Wednesdays and Sundays, in the winter, there is one most Sunday mornings. Details will be in the Newsletter.
Very friendly events these, well organised, and a wonderful way to appreciate the beauty of Essex. You get to run along paths the average mortal would never get to see.
Try one - there might even be a Trotter on hand to take you round if you like. You'll be hooked after one, I promise!
