Minnesota's Nick Punto replaced Carlos Gomez in center field in the top of the fifth inning because Gomez hurt his left hamstring trying to run down a fly ball. Gomez said after the game that the muscle had been bothering him, but he would play Thursday against the Reds in Sarasota.
"I'm OK," Gomez said. "I'm ready to play 100 percent right now."

last year, gomez hirt his hamstring in may and struggled the rest of the year trying to stay healthy. I hope this kid isn't a constant hamstrung thouroughbred.

the above was a snipet from the recap of livian hernandez's last start of spring training. sounds like livian made a heckuva play in the game, with his foot? LOL, I woulda thought it would have been illegal.
