I moved to california shortly after superbowlIV, so the vast majority of my fandom came by way of box scores andthe saturday afternoon highlight show "this week in the nfl"...until satelite TV revolutionized it all with sports bars.
We did get our fair share of viking game on the national broadcasts though because they were a very succeful popular franchise. Glad I wasn't a packer/bears or lionsfan as they were almost never broadcast on the west coast.. we used to get sooo PUMPED when the vikes were on!! the whole family gathered and watched and yelled...my mom was usually the loudest. sure sure loved her "sir francis"!!
