but it was a tough situation this year.
With the suspension (or jail?) looming it was pretty hard to trade him.
Wow, I just googled McKinnie to see if there was any news and this story popped up that his sister stabbed her boyfriend to death. Crazy.

MAYS LANDING - A Pleasantville woman charged with stabbing her live-in boyfriend to death made her first appearance before a judge in the case Tuesday morning.
Rosina McKinnie, 26, calmly answered questions after Superior Court Judge Robert Neustadter advised her of her rights. McKinnie is charged with murder in the death of Aramis Smith, 22.
McKinnie and Smith apparently got into an argument Sunday night, and McKinnie stabbed Smith in the stairwell leading to the home's kitchen, authorities said.
Authorities could not comment on whether McKinnie's 9-year-old son, who is not Smith's son, witnessed the incident. The boy is now in the custody of relatives.
Police were called to the home in the 100 block of Shadeland Avenue at 9:43 p.m. Sunday. Smith was rushed to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center's City Campus, where he was pronounced dead at 10:28 p.m.
An autopsy performed Monday afternoon found superficial slashing wounds on Smith's back and neck. A stab wound to the abdomen penetrated his abdominal aorta.
The knife was found at the scene, and McKinnie was taken into custody a short time later.
Neustadter asked McKinnie if she could afford a private attorney.
"My mother and father are handling it now," McKinnie said, turning to glance at her mother, Iris Nesbitt, who was in the courtroom with three other unidentified relatives.
Neustadter asked McKinnie if she had anything to say regarding her bail.
"I would appreciate it if it could be lowered," McKinnie said.
"Is there anything else you would like to say?" Neustadter said.
"Not at this time. I was told not to," McKinnie said.
Neustadter set McKinnie's bail at $750,000 cash or bond. As sheriff's officers led McKinnie away, Nesbitt told her daughter she loved her. Nesbitt had no comment after the proceeding. McKinnie's brother is Bryant McKinnie, an offensive tackle for the Minnesota Vikings.
McKinnie remains in the Atlantic County jail pending further proceedings. Supervising Assistant Prosecutor Dana B. Litke handled the matter for the state Tuesday.
