an offensive mastermind? offensive wonderkind? genius? or how about coach of the year? why not leader of the free world? noodle sucks pl;ain and simple. with the talent on the offensive side of the ball anyone of us could get some plays right. I had the thought that brett audibled the first two td's and I do believe that to be the case and now we find out that he did indeed audible the long pass to sidney away from a run. What this offense can do with favre at the helm and calling his own plays would be awesome. IMO this team is slowly or fastly moving to bretts camop away from noodle. ths is now bretts team on offense to be sure and the defense seems to need that same kind of leadership. EJ being hurt seems to have cost him a whole lot. almost like he didn't keep working in the pool or on the bike and got bigger and less fast. i do think hge will continue to progress as the season wears on. and then to hear the exchange with noodle and farve with brett telling him no sh*t sherlock is priceless. noolde is not now nor will he ever be an accomplished caller of plays. he just runs sstraight ahead and AD bails him out and makes him look good. offensive mastermid my ass. andy ried wouldnt' let him call plays at philly and we know how well andy is doing in philly. Favre has showed this team his comittment ton the cause and they will have his back. just let brett run the show. anyone catch noodle covering his mouth(really, does he know how long it would take to read his lips call it in to the coach and then he has to adjust his players all before the snap, in other words quit actling and looking like a friigin idiot) to call a field goal. Wait is he going to fake it? oh brad the mastermind. he is the guy who calls three runs and puts the defense back onthe field over and over and over. FAvre as qb and play caller. The beginning of the game showed us what can be, the kind of play that would make a pessimist like me quiet. ahhh the queit.
And our defense seems to be playing the prevent version of the cover two. And vic I know you say it's the systtem but I'd imagine that B arber might disagree as they didn't give up that kind of yardage in tampa bay. just don't try for any YAC the corners say and we'll give you as many yards as you want. I said early in this game that baltimore was playing into our game plan. if a team just comes out and throws against us they can doto us t\what the Patriots did to the titans well not that but our weaknes is the pass. I've seen good teams bracket the recievers to take away the pass but not ours. we play a zone where 3 guys guard the middle of the field with no one inthe backfield and no none in their area while a runner picks up 20 out of the backfield. I knew we were screwed when the big man that took the kickoff on the last drive ran for 15 or 20. a big non running back made a cut and got 2o against our kick coverage. And our last return 6 suys got through for the tackle. 6 guys didn't get blocked. our bend but don't break needs adjusting.
And tyrell or no 25 is a liability. We need to make the trade IMO for a barber or a safety. A vet that has won and still has game. But of course ol noodle doesn't like to admit he's ever wrong. We shall see. And we need to remember that just because we have the idea doesn't mean it to be true.
