to get a better feel for the play calls, but play by play shows the Vikes Did Indeed throw on both 2nd and 3rd down before the first two FG's.
And on third down before the 3rd FG. So they gave Favre a chance the first 3 trips. And No one knows (except Favre himself!) for sure if Favre decided to not take a risky shot and instead take those FG's.
The last trip down there? It is a good debate, whether to run or pass. I still think at Home the odds are good the Vikes will sack Flacco and end the game, even if they didn't do it this time.
On the Road, I let Favre throw the ball in that situation.
