but now that its done im assessing what we have. Ponder has the potential to be a very good QB. I dont think he would have been there with the Bills, Bengals, Cardinals, Redskins, and Pats in a position to either take their qb for the future or trade the top pick in the second all picking ahead of us. we dropped the ball by not trading down, agreed absolutely, but we obviously coveted Ponder and it became pick him at 12 or miss on him. I've seen just about every FSU game the last number of years, Ponder had no running game, a suspect Oline and a lousy defense. he's a tough mother ####er and plays smart. What's done is done, I'm on board with this kid, the situation sucked that we had to reach for him, but the bottom line is we have our QB, now lets move ahead, and make re-signing Rice a priority. and lets get that outdoor stadium. go vikes.
