I have renewed faith in frazier. LOL, at least for another week. It took some hutzpah to bench mcnabb in what was actually his most accurate performance to date. Despite mcnugget looking like jeff george running from a tackle most of the night.
That safety mcnothing took. EEEyech! most pathetic play ov'e seen from a qb since jeff george avoided his own fumble so he wouldn't get caught at the bottom of the pile.
on to ponder and the pack. Ponder showed the same thing in preseason. he is agile, elusive and makes good quick decisions especially considering he is a rookie. This being his 1st start, and the packers secondary being a collection of 2nd rate practice squaders. I expect ponder to have a decent game. Can the vikings offense put up enough points to beat the offensive juggernaut that ios the packers? Can the viking defense get some turnovers, force some fg's and not give up a td every posession?
That seems more like the issue at hand. And can the vikes o line prevent ponder from getting beaten to a pulp.
We'll see.
The best news is, at least the vikings finally have a qb, with a brain, that can be groomed into something other than a precursor to a punt.
been a long time, a very very l;ong time since the vikings drafted a qb with real promise. sorry. daunte and his dim witts did not count.
tj and his reach/ fragility and jump opasses did not count. Booty and his 5th round tag, did not count. Brad johnson came what? in the 11th round I think. Gannon was a project from day1.
You have to go all the way back to 2 minute tommy. which was what? 1978?
LOL, yes, it's been a long time coming. Such a long long long long time, before the dawn.
Now, if griffen would just get back his agility. Maybe next year? They say it takes 2 years to come back full from mcl/acl tears.
