we didn't need to panic and trade up to grab gerhart. tate was drafted by the texans 10 piks later. we could have had a decent rb and not given up that 3rd round pick we nabbed trading down with detroit.
The vikings HAVE TO STOP PANICKING! with their drafts. Trade down and gain picks but quit trading up because you have fallen in love with 1 particular player.
The 2012 draft is loaded with db's and wr's and o=linemen. tgere is ZERO reason to trade up, and 22 starting position reasons to trade down!. the vikings need to try and get 5 picks in the top 75. that can easily be done this draft! trade down in round 1 with a qb starved team, picking up an extra 2nd rounder...then trading down again with that1st round pick to the bottom 3rd of round 1. gaining another 2nd round pick. Draft a guard in round 1, 2 cbs and a wr in round 2 and then hope a safety like barron last to the start of round 3, or maybe a troublked cb like cliff harris. a wr like nick toon.
this is a nice draft coming up. vikes need to play it wise and they can get
better fast!
As for gerhart. that draft didn't have a whole lot of talent. so???? oh well.
it's pissing me off though that all these high pick rbs, and not a one of them can pick up a blitz!
