I feel the same way you do. I don't live in MN, though, so that could be a reason why I'm missing something.
I also wonder how the Twins and Gophers were able to get stadium deals done but not the Vikes. The seem like the most popular of the three. Granted the economy's changed, but the Vikes' stadium issue isn't a brand new one.
