it dawned on me, while reading a blurb on smiths leadership traits. That the vikings were so enamored with smith because the vikes defense is seveerely lacking a true leader since pat williams left. ej was supposedly a quiet lead by example type. likewise, the younger players look to winfield for leadership, but he seems to be a more reserved player as well..
enter harry's son smith. somewhere i also read today. A quote from smith that he and frazier/staff got along very well at the sr bowl. Smart hard nosed field general that is exhuberant on the field. perfict fit...IF the kid can make the plays. he is th antoi sanford/johnson. Comes high profile from a big school and plays with his heart on his sleeve.
Paul Krause for the 3rd milleneum?!
what # was krause? 22? whatever it was, todd on it harrys back and let the comparisons begin.
BTW, for any youngsters, Krause is STILL the all time int leader with 73
