Posted by Vk Vikes special teams stunk in 2011- many of these guy played extensively on college special teams. By that virtue alone. most of the vikes picks in 2012 will gain roster spots.

A left side anchor that allows some flexibility across the o-line.
safties! we had the leagues worst. these 2 guys should bring immediate improvement as rookies!
defensive leader!!!!! bryant mckinnie metioned it as he exited. he was asked what was wrong with the viking defense, giving up big come from behind losses in last seasons 1st 3 games. Mckinnie answered that the vikes missed pat williams LEADERSHIP, and that there was nobody else on the roster that was a defensive leader.
harrison Smith is a boistrous annimated team leader!
Playmakers for the offense. the 2 wr's are both underated. Hopefully they play like they did as senors, and not how they played 3 years ago when they constantly dropped malletts passes.
a replacement for Jimmy K. and somebody(rb) who can be on the field on 3rd down and pick up a blitz, It was painfully obvious lasy tear, that not only couldn't the oline open lanes for peterson, but the once dominant blocking of k-sauce had waned to just slightly above avg. Not sure of the kid from USC can be another jimmy. but he sounds like the closest thing available. It's probably a stretch to think the usc kid is the 3rd down back, AND is a capable blitz neutralizer, But i'm hoping so!
it will be interesting, as the next few seasons play out, the vikes could have had blackmon, levonte david and jonathan martin and still got josh robinson, safety george Iolka.
it'll be worth comparing. Not that I am at all dissatisfied. I think spielman did very well! lets hope these new vikings pan out! I think the Audie Cole pick may be our own minor steal. Another leadership guy and an instinctual player.
Levonte david though! That lber is gonna be a superstar! paired with greenway, our olbers would have been beastly!
