I would much rather players took some responsibility , allen had concussions in his previous 2 seasons, and retired early for healths sake. Rather than change the rules and make the league glorified flag football.
Lets face it, allen was a marginal depth type player and was never going to be a star. He also alluded to Frazier that thre was another direction he wanted to go in his life. hopefully, he was financially smart, and is armed with an employable degree from UGA. Really, lets face the facts. the avg kid graduating from a school like UGA is saddled with 100k or more in student loan debt. Allen got an education sans debt and made about a million in his 3 years since. Add in that he is astute enough to get out without his brains scrambled and still walking on both legs.
Good for him, i wish him success in his next endeavors. The guy should be a role model for the "avg. player" coming out of college.
Now lets just hope that the light bulb stays on in Chris Cooks head!
