Hey Vic,
Sorry it’s been so long since I posted, decided to sit it out until the stadium was finally resolved. I missed posting, but didn’t want to bring anyone unwanted along for the ride.
I have popped in to read occasionally, and I hope you are doing well?
So they finally decided to build it!
Kinda figured it would be last year, but then the children (politicians) decided to shut the govt down.
Anyway, the deal is they are going to build basically double the size (sq footage) on the same site perpendicular to the current dome, so they will play in the Old Hump for 2012-14, then play 2015 in the Gophers Stadium, then come back and open the New Palace in 2016. Short vid here.

Below is a photo, the New Stadium is what you see, the old stadium is the dotted line.
What I wonder is if they are going to use explosives or wrecking balls? My guess is Wrecking Balls. Build the new stadium up as close as you can, then deflate the old dome and knock it down with Wrecking Balls.
Now that would be cool to watch!
Really hoping Ponder can take a big leap this year. Good and bad last season, but no pass blocking and no WR except Harvin made it tough for the Rookie.
Sure are a lot of new players on the Squad, NFL Rosters churn. It's good to be back! GO VIKES.
