I watched the first half, FFW to the Audie Cole plays. Good stuff.
During one particular play on defense you can see Jared Allen yelling at Brinkley. Brinkley stands there, looks confused. Allen starts pointing to the S and then then to the line. Allen waits and Brinkley walks back from the line and stops. Allen finally says something and lines up, Brinkley looks around and line ups way to far back off the line.
It was obvious that Brinkley froze up. He is responsible for calling the defense and it was pretty obvious he is not up to the task. Hence todays headline - "Brinkley still getting up to speed".
Part of the MLB duty is making the call and sticking with it. By the looks of it, Brinkley is not up to the task.
I would also say Audie Cole has a knack for the game.
