My only gripe is Houghton(mich tech) should be in Fargo, not Canisius. Then it'd be a true regional.
Considering the 4 bottom seeds are all in the north east. The committee could have really stacked the deck for Boston or harvard- or both.
Whoever comes out of Fargo owns state bragging rights for a year. That's good for northern hockey. Bad for hockey- playing an April final 4 in Florida.
I've never liked the idea of spring hockey below the Mason Dixon line. Slushy ice & warm bouncy pucks. Do Florida/Texas kids have an advantage in such circumstances?
Oh well. Like all other sport. Money creates these things... According to the polls. The Gophers have the easiest draw. Pioneers the toughest.
Fargo is gonna be raucous! Winner likely gets Denver or Boston. Both tough outs.
