Terms are built for specific qb traits- or are trying to.
Lamar fits a smaller subset of teams that are tuned for a mobile qb. Part of their efficiency/production metric requires the qb's legs. In some cases, a lack of mobility at qb renders their offense near worthless. These teams arent looking to invest big money in the wr group. Lamar is an ideal qb for this system. As are Allen, Jalen, & mahomes. To a lesser extent, murray & jones.
A second larger subset. The traditional offense, run by guys like Cuz, Burroughs, lawerence, herbert, goff etc. These offenses prefer the qb not to run. They require top wr's that gain seperation early in their routes.
A 3rd subset is struggling to find an offense/ qb identity, like the colts, redskins, Panthers etc.
The Ravens scheme doesnt fit Cousins strengths. Likewise the vikings scheme doesnt fit Lamars skill set.
A 4th subset exists in SF/ Dallas.
Perhaps the eagles crossover into this area. Teams built to run the ball & control the clock. Built to be qb friendly no matter the qb skill set. Lamar would be dam good playing on the above 3 teams. But signing lamar comes with a pricetag that wont fit their economic model very readily.
The Ravens have the pick directly in front of the Vikings. I doubt Anthony Richardson lasts that long on draft day. But the Gator QB is the exact reason the Ravens are built the way they are. Richardson could probably start in Baltimore by midseason & become productive quickly. Cuz would set a sack record playing in baltimore, as would Richardson starting in minnesota.
Idk if what I have said is understandable. I know what im trying to say. Which is just another version of square pegs hired to fill a round hole.
Could you find 2 qb's more opposite than Lamar & Cuz?
Tom Brady & Cam Newton? Lol, how'd that work when Cam Followed Tom in Boston? I'd expect similar results if lamar changed shades of purple.
