Perhaps.
Let's just hope it doesn't backfire with a new injury for the often injured top prospect.
It's not even June 1, and the Twins. Who led all teams in games lost to injury in 2022, are once again one of the most IL prone teams in MLB.
PLEASE ROCCO! WE IMPLORE YOU!
Keep Royce on the infield.
There's plenty of open spots. And while you're at it... Trade the defensive disaster known as Alex Kiriloff, or Kals favorite plate disaster Byron Buxton. 2 great bats that have no position. Defense matters as much or more than obp. If either Kiriloff or Buxton was a .400 risp guy. This conversation wouldn't be pertinent. Unfortunately, neither is even a .250 risp guy.
This edition of the MN Twins came into the season with high expectations. And now Polanco & Gordon, the 2 top risp guys on the team are sitting in the training room on game day. Absolutely nobody has stepped up into that clutch bat role.
It points to a problem many " great on paper" teams have. The 2023 twins have zero heart.
Again, I emphasize. It's not yet June 1st. The Twins are in 1st place, thanks to the horrid play of Al central teams. There's plenty of time to address the issue. Call Dorothy & the tin man. Dust the birds from the scarecrows shoulders. I ain't lyin, It's time to march onward to OZ & find these TC Cowards a heart.
Fire Rocco? - Shake this squad up!
