Louis Vilain, Wake Forest. 6-4 254.
Andre-The Vikings liked Carter because they gave him a hefty undrafted free-agent deal to secure his services. While that deal doesn’t guarantee Carter a spot on the 53-man roster, it does mean there’s a real possibility he’s part of the team’s practice squad.
If that’s the case, expect him to spend most of his time in the weight room and practice fields this season, hardly seeing the time as a week-to-week elevation. Carter needs a lot of seasoning and likely won’t be game ready for the 2023 season.
Louie- signed a similar high roster bonus deal as a rook udfa in 2022.
Vilain was the only player that made the Vikings as a UDFA in 2022. He has the athletic profile that the front office likes with a lot of athleticism. In year one, Vilain only suited up three times, but 2022 was meant to be a learning year for him. Going into 2023, there is opportunity for him to shine with Za’Darius Smith now in Cleveland and D.J. Wonnum on the final year of his contract. Showing out in training camp could get Vilain a rotational role.

There's no shortage of candidates in the LBer room this summer. It's anybody's guess who, if any, milk this unique moment/ opportunity to not only reach top potential. But exceed expectations. Perhaps become "THE Viking LBer legend that team history has yet to produce.
Sadly, the Vikes have never had a Butkus. Ray Lewis, Urlacher type. There is no Lawrence Taylor of Valhalla lore. Nobody ever even close.
Yet.
Perhaps? Andre the Giant? Maybe Louie the Villain? Lewis Cine? (Lmfao)- but who knows? Brian Flores has an idea tho. U can take that to " The Bank", US Bank $tadium for a home game near you, soon!
