Eagles, Lions, SF immediately come to mind.
Has the Viking o-line improved from early season. Yes. Dallas & Seattle. That's the level I'd place Vikes line. Above avg. Likely a hot mess still if the team is behind the sticks. Which is most teams.
Jarren Hall under center vs ATL will be a good challenge for the Vikes line. The run game needs to carry a bigger load. Something I doubt the viking line can do w/o the threat of Cuz play action.
Jarren Hall had some exposure to play action at BYU. But was more rpo to hold lbers than traditional play action. Have we witnessed an rpo page in the Koc playbook?
Now- the actual question. Would viking become NFC favorites with Tom Brady?
He's 46 yrs old. Brady had 2 years under his belt at Michigan when Jarren Hall was born.
I think? Only George Blanda was an NFL QB at that age. Even then. He was a backup & regular PK. George went 7 of 22 in the 3-4 years he played past 45 yrs old.
Certainly, it's a different era. Qb's take far fewer hits. Nutrition, training & "medicine" have advanced 50 fold since 1975 when Blanda last threw an NFL pass.
It'd be a helluva TV draw. & the NFL loves a path to ever higher ratings. But. No. The Vikings would only become favorites if a Brady led viking team rolled thru the remaining schedule.
Even then- head to head vs Dallas? SF? Philly? In the post season. That final playoff game. Jan 16, 2022. 5.6 yds per attempt. QB rating of 75.
Home vs Dallas.
What would such a move do to team chemistry?
I'm thinking aloud here. When Harrison Smith entered the NFL.... Brady had? 10 seasons under his belt.
It'd be amazing if he said yes & had success.
Still, you have to wonder. If Brady walked in on Wednesday, started on Sunday in ATL- Would the line swing to Vikings as a road favorite? Lol- quite possibly. Come January in a playoff game? Doubtful.
It's thought provoking. But even the goat can't escape father time...right?
Or could he?
Lol✌️
