I edited your "subject" bc my failing recognition if what I see was telling my brain we signed OJ.
Ufdah! Thats everybodys laugh for the day.
On to the qb's.
As we get closer- the more this rollsover in my increasingly feeble mind.
I really am back to where i was month ago.
Id rank these qb's
1- Caleb
2&2b Penix/Nix
3,3b,3c,3d
Daniels, mccarthy, maye, rattler.
The more I watch daniels. Hes looks to me like a mashup of Justin Fields & Malik Cunningham.
The More I watch Maye- the more I see Mitch Trubisky.
McCarthy reminds me of Teddy Bridgewater.
Rattler a mashup of Baker & drew brees.
All these pundits are dinging the 3 extra time covid qb's bc of age. Rattler, Penix, Nix. Telling us the inexperience & youth of McCarthy & Maye is somehow a plus. Forgetting in the process how that youth & inexperience played out for trubisky & trey lance.
At the same time they dont ding Caleb Williams for being an older prospect.
Then if you watch their tape. Caleb is actually the scariest according to what he accomplished in comparison to Nix, Penix & to a lesser degree Rattler.
In big games? Caleb pretty much shat the bed.
Nix didnt lead his team to new heights either.
Rattler & penix- imo. Showed the most poise in big games/underdog scenarios.
Those intangibles often are what is seen hindsight when the team that drafts trey lance or Zach Wilson are bemoaning "the bust".
My opinion likely matters less to the vikings than a squirrel picking players by chosing different colored nuts. Most likely- the pundits are correct. The vikings trade up for maye/mccarthy/ daniels.
I hope they dont.
For far less than the draft capital needed to trade up. The vikings can land a mid/late 1st qb- either penix/nix- and snag rattler on day 2.
