I have a 2000 chevy silerado with a 5.3 V8. I recently replaced the spark plugs and plug wires, and after doing so the truck began cutting out randomly at highway speeds, and will sometimes idle roughly. It seems like there is a missfire somewere, but its inconsistent. Also the check engine light came on, but after driving for a couple of days, the light went away. What would cause all of this when the truck ran fine before the plug and wire change?
