2000 Escort ZX2 - coolant gauge not working and cooling fan doesn't work.

The problem is that the battery is OK, alternator is OK, I replaced the fan relay, the coolant sensor, fuses are ok, fuel gauge is OK. Also, I've noticed that if I turn the a/c on, the motor immediately stops running. Is all this related? thank you.
