Hi, We took our 13 month old as well as our 9 and 11 year olds on the Elephants (our second time there) at The Elephant Safari Park (recommended by the late Steve Irwin). The ride is only half an hour and she handled it pretty well, it was a bit hard when she wanted to get off or stand up. There aren't any seat belts so it can get a bit hairy when bub won't sit still. She had a bit of a cry when we were feeding the elephants at the start, but she loved the show. Some of the best food in Bali at the Smorgasbord after the ride. Mornings are best, the elephants behave a bit better. They only think of food in the afternoon. Places to go. Waterbom park is great, Tanah Lot was nice, there were a lot of bali kids there at the markets so we let the kids play with the locals there before we go to see the snakes down at the temple and nice food available at the many restaurants. Papa Gumps on Julan Kartika in Kuta , a restaurant based on the Forrest Gump movie is excellent and the staff play with your baby and kids so you can relax and eat. Don't forget to go to Ramayana's in Depasar for all the best quality clothes for bargain prices (you have to look around in the troughs in the isles to get the cheapest prices)Our boys bought brand name shoes and clothes for around $20 Au each and my wife bought anything that was pink as well as shoes and sandles galour.
I hope that helps
We will be there again in Sept 07. We can't wait
Toby
