Hi Wendy, so sorry have meant to reply before now (hope you haven't already been & gone 
). Ok we had 3 nights at Ananda and enjoyed our stay. The staff were absolutely beautiful and the rooms are lovely too, well the 3 rooms we had were. The rooms are very dark though as they are decked out in dark timber, so hope you don't need to pluck your eyebrows or anything while staying there. That being said though the rooms are really nice & BIG. Our room had the typical HUGE Bali double bed as well as 2 single mattresses on the floor for the kids & still had plenty of room. It's about a 15 -20 min walk into Ubud proper but is mainly downhill & a pleasant walk and no prob picking up transport back to Ananda. We went to Indus restaurant across the road as well as Toko Toko (just down the road) and both were good. Oh and it is very quiet, there are no TV's or radios in the rooms which my 3 yo found a little strange. Anyway if you have any questions just let me know.
