If I own a bowling alley. Making people pay rent for bowling shoes protects my "pre-bowling lanes" and that is why I rent these shoes to people. I do let everyone bowl there regardless of if they have the shoes or not. Not having the shoes makes me have to fix the surface more. If I require everyone to use the shoes, but rent them at a much cheaper price, would that enable me to resurface the pre-bowling lane less then I would have before or would it just make the people that make the high price bowling shoes mad since I rent them cheaper?
