I do have a problem with GE, owner of NBC, Obama's biggest cheerleader, who's CEO sits on Obama's economic advisory board not paying taxes.
BUT...while GE itself did not pay taxes, everyone employed and running GE did pay taxes....such is the case for every big, evil corporation. What is so loving referred to as loopholes, I call deductions to help keep more money in the private sector to be invested in growth and jobs.
It's time to vote in people who aren't owned by any special interest...big money, big unions, big education, big environmentalism, or big anything...and I think the grass-roots, conservative Tea Party candidates are just that. People like Herman Cain, who have achieved on their own, and don't need other people's money and aren't beholden to the liberal idea that people of color can't do it on their own. Hated by both establishment Dems and Repubs, their success flys in the face of the erroneous assumption that government is the answer to ANYTHING.
While they may be intertwined, the destruction of private corporations is hardly the answer...the private sector is our salvation from this mess The death of the government side of the vine is what's needed. This mess, and it's continued existence is the fault of government, and only the fault of government. Put simply it is the deliberate mismanagement of the people's assets to create dependence and control of the who depend upon the government.
CEOs get paid what the market yields. If you can make more money at company A, why stay with Company B? ...and when that causes Company A to figure out they need to pay more than company B to keep the best people, that's just the market....and this country was made great by that free market, the innovation, motivation, and growth that is the natural side-effect of a free market. "Equity" does not exist in a merit-based market, because all men are NOT created equal. This great nation guarantees you life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness....not equality of happiness....you must pursue it....work for your happiness. Once a government artificially enforces equality, it removes the much needed motivation and innovation that drives greatness...everything that makes the cream rise to the top.
