Markhams Chase playing fields

Our property overlooks the playing fields and during the winter months,when snow is on the ground,you can see the outline of building foundations,they also appear during the summer months once the ground has been baked hard. I have made enquiries with the LA but they were not able to help.The area I refer to is just before Janet Dukes school. I trust someone has the answer to a puzzle that has intrigued me for many years.
